Describes fan base as solid and strong during her interview. “Without my children, family, and friends I honestly don’t know what I’d do”. She stated that a lot of children listen to her music and she doesn’t want to let them down. It has been documented that family engagement within a musician’s career boosts determination. Music teachers across the world gave stated that music helps families engage easier and Sapphire incorporated this principle within her career. She explains her experience of being a performing artist both good and worse. “I have traveled out of town to perform a lot”. She stated she experienced some DJs having errors with playing music to not having a microphone.
Sapphire speaks on her greatest qualities as an artist. She expressed how her spirit and energy is unmatched as an artist. “I don’t believe I’m the best out here but I do believe I am a goat at being me and I love to be different and exotic with my hairstyles”. Sapphire also stated that she feels that she has the ability to make people feel good also letting people know where she comes from. She stated that she has been diligently working on her next upcoming debut album called, “Energy”. She has been only focused on showcasing her music in different cities since the start of the year. Being an artist can sometimes be difficult starting local but Sapphire does an amazing job at juggling her career and being a parent.
As an aspiring artist, Sapphire grew a mindset to defeat all doubt within herself. “There’s absolutely nothing that will make me give up”! It has been reported that having this mindset attracts the energy needed to attract the success you seek to have in life. When people see you live by this mindset it helps them relate or connect to whatever information or brand you want them to become emotionally invested into. “There have been times I’ve felt like throwing my hands up and walking away from everything but my children are the reason why I can’t, I want to build a legacy for them to live on when I’m not here anymore”. Sapphire was asked what mainstream artist influenced her to start recording music and she stated more than she could count.
“I gave it a try and it made me feel good”. Sapphire expressed her feelings when she put the headphones in for the first time in a recording studio and she explained it as soul comforting. “I was freestyling and writing poetry at first until one day, I was asked to perform so I gave it a try and I fell in love with knowing my voice, my presence, and my energetic influence can move a crowd”. She also stated that being able to express herself through music helps with her PTSD. Sapphire later stated during the interview that if she had the chance to do a song with a mainstream artist is would be Eminem and Nikki Minaj.
She loves how Nikki isn’t afraid of being herself no matter how people feel about it and she relates to the mental struggles that Eminem speaks about in his music.

She was asked how could you make a difference within her communities to create her own form of generational wealth and she stated, “I want to let children know that no matter what life throws at you remain strong because you’re strong, you’re loved, and you’re children of God. Life will get you but never let your crown fall. Sometimes you will fall and that’s okay, just keep moving forward no matter what. Don’t allow trauma to break you, let it make you instead. Use it as your strength. You all got this and Sapphire Reigns believes in you”.
Sapphire also stated that her music promotes happy vibes and an understanding of self. Sapphire explains the moment that stuck out to her the most within her career as a motivational moment. She performed at a place called Emerson within Indianapolis, Indiana and the story pulls strongly on your heart string. There were children who were supporters of her music
and they were so excited and wanted to take pictures with her one of the two told her that she would go far in life. They both expressed to her they would support her until she got to the top.
Sapphire stated that she wants to be known for her good spirit and energy as an artist. “My goal is to leave a legacy for my 3 children and also create a trend for children to follow of knowing it’s ok to be different. Knowing that it’s ok to face fears. It’s ok to cry as long as you get up and keep moving. Sapphire stated that 3 reasons people should listen to her music are: “because it’s vibey, it’s something you can relate to, and also it’s full of positive energy”.
