DeMarie is an artist born in Coral Springs And raised in Ocala, FL. She makes Hip-Hop, RnB, Soul, Rap, and Pop music. She is working on a EP with no projected release date currently. DeMarie stated that she tries to release somthing once every few months to remain consistent as a upcoming artist. She stated that one of her main goals for 2024 is to collaborate with more artist to grow a larger fan base and make more progress as an artist. Her greatest experience as an artist is seeing the reaction of people when they hear her music.
“I always surprise the crowd.”
DeMarie said that her greatest challenge is finding herself in the music.
“It’s hard to find me.”
She let it be known that her family was the major influence to get her into making music.
“My family always told me to do what I love. I had the realization in high school how I loved to sing was In choir all 4 years and joined musical theatre my senior year, fell inlove.”
Outside of music DeMarie plans to help other people understand the importance of life insurance and assisting them in gaining it.
“I just Recieved my Life & Health and Annuties Licenses. So hoping to help many people be able to gain life insurance and show them how valuable it is. Also spend more time with my family, time is precious!”
Another goal she wants to achieve is preforming in the Strawberry Festival which she stated is big for her.
DeMarie’s most valued lyrics from her music is,
”Please don’t take offense, it’s not personal, if I do not hit you back, my phones away, trying to relax, and concentrate, on myself and my energy”
She explained these are her most valued because it gives a sense that she is one with herself.
“I’m constantly battling myself and my inner thoughts, and I get highly overwhelmed, and some people take offense. I’m not the only one who feels like this and these lyrics are from an Up and coming EP I’m working on and i know it’s going to touch so many hearts because i felt so much ease when i wrote it… it’s okay to take a breather.”
DeMarie stated that it’s impossible for her to name a top 5 of her favorite artist because allot of artist influences her. She stated that she likes,
“Leona Lewis, Mary j. Blige. Christina Aguilera, Alicia, Ciara, Eminem, J-Cole, Evanescence, Queen, JayZ, juvenile, Akon, Beenie Man, Sean Paul, usher, Carrie underwood, Reba McEntire, Adele, and Amanda Perez.”
DeMarie stated that she has been doing music since she was 7 years old. She never thought of herself as a rapper at the time.
She also stated that she spends atleast 2 hours a day in the studio working.
“An hour a song sometimes 2 so depending on money I try to book atleast for 2 hours.”
Her support system started with her lover. She says that she has only missed 2 of her performances. DeMarie wants all upcoming artist to know,
“Don’t change yourself for the Industry be true to you! You’ll be able to find a fan base that fits you and your crowd we love you for you and your sound ! Always know we’re a community.”
Demarie stated that her favorite song released is called, Sunshine.
“So far I love Sunshine, me and my friend sat down one day and he made the beat and we just started to write my inspiration was my beautiful girlfriend. She brings light to me in my moments of dark. She’s my Sunshine.”
